Jennifer tilly wins her second major poker tournament
Jennifer Tilly, girlfriend of Phil 'Unabomber' Laak has won her 2nd major poker tournament. She has said that the win and resulting confidence boost could make her unstoppable.
The tournament in question was the World Poker Tour's (WPT) Ladies Night III. It was held at The Bicycle Casino, in Bell Gardens, California and took place on the 1st September. There was a first prize of $25,000 up for grabs.
Tilly, who has been playing poker for a little over a year, said "I felt like I was suffering from the 'imposter syndrome.' I had these niggling self-doubts. But now I know I can really play… these women were extremely tough pros with blood lust at the poker table."
The final table consisted of 6 players, being Jennifer Tilly, Lily Elviro, Marsha Waggoner, Cecilia Reyes, Isabelle Mercier and London Gallagher.
The win means that Tilly is the first woman to hold the Ladies Night title as well as the World Series' Ladies World Poker Championship.
